A select few businesses in Michigan could soon be able to keep taxes they withhold from employees, as part of a new initiative aimed at creating jobs. The Detroit Free Press reports that under the proposal, no more than 15 companies could take part in the program, and in exchange they’d have to create at least 250 jobs that offer above-average wages in their county or at least 500 jobs at the average wage level.
